Here are some ideas for ways to style your lovely curls at any length:
I show examples for each category, below.

Adorning Your Curls:
|
Barrettes, Pins, and Clips
|
This gives you a few examples of the ways you can adorn your beautiful curls, such as with barrettes, pins, clips, scarves, headbands, and even fresh flowers. These are wonderful for any length of hair, and would look stunning in shorter hair, especially after the Big Chop or a TWA.
Adding beautiful barrettes, combs, clips, pins, or even little flowers can instantly add glamor and variety to your pretty curls. You can check out some great sites that sell beautiful things for your hair at Hair Adornment sites.
You can smooth your hair in the front to one side and clip a beautiful barrette in it
I think barrettes and flowers are lovely in longer hair, but are the most stunning in gorgeous natural curls that are about ear length to above shoulder length.
Here are three photos of the beautiful Mariah.
The first photo is her with both halves of her hair pulled back in lovely barrettes, the second with it pulled to the side, and the last is her hair pulled back from her face:
The first photo shows me wearing three small barrettes.
Here I'm wearing brooches meant to be pinned on a lapel. One of the advantages to having curly hair is that you can wear beautiful pins in your hair, and they don't slip out. Just be careful not to stab yourself, or get it tangled in your hair putting them in or taking them out.

Flowers
|
You can always place fresh flowers in your hair. You will light up the room when you wear a flower tucked (or clipped with a barrette so it stays) behind your ear no matter what length of hair you have. Honestly, I think flowers are especially gorgeous with hair that's about ear-length or so. When I wear a flower, my hair tends to flop over the flower so you can't even see it. But when it's in the lovely crown of an afro, or a headful of spirals, this is stunning.
You could always tuck a lovely fresh flower behind your ear. In this photo I have a rhododendron flower I picked on the way home behind my ear. (Again, I think this look is more stunning with short curls.)

Top Bun

My mom called a style with all the hair piled on top of your head an "African Ant", based on some characters in an old black and white cartoon she watched as a child. I guess this name has stuck with me, so I call wearing my hair on the top of my head an Ant.
