Question:
Is It Better to Use A Product Marketed For Children On My Child's Hair?
Answer:
You don't have to buy expensive products meant for kids to get very curly hair to behave and be happy. I hate to say it, but products marketed towards kids is almost always just a marketing ploy to sell you products. Unfortunately, many of these products for children are often loaded with coloring and fragrances— often even more than adult products—that can irritate sensitive skin.

I recommend lots of good products under recommended combing conditioners that would be far better for children than those actually marketed towards kids (if for nothing else, these work, and will save you money, and don't have any more fragrances than what they put in most products for kids). However, the very best products are those that say they are fragrance free, such as Paula's Conditioner, which has no fragrances or colors, and is very gentle. I've had great results with this conditioner to comb with and to leave in.
