Here are some of the questions I get asked the most, and what my answers have been. This way you can get your answers immediately, without having to wait on me. And you never know, you might find answers to a few questions you didn't even know you had yet.

*This is still a work in progress. I'm continuing to add many more questions, and we are still ironing out a few quirks. But we wanted to make this available as soon as possible.

There are several ways to choose the question(s) you'd like answered:

Question:
My daughter has a dry scalp. Why do you think this is and what should I do?
Answer:
There could be many causes for your daughter's dry scalp: One could be how often her hair is getting shampooed (every day or even every other day may be too often if she has very sensitive or dry skin). If it's too often, that can dry out a scalp--or skin.

Also, if the shampoo is a bit harsher than her skin can handle (she may have dry or sensitive skin, so what works for everyone else may not work for her). And if the rest of her skin is dry, her little scalp may be dry too, simply because all her skin is dry .

You could put just the lightest bit of jojoba, olive or coconut oil on your hands, rub them together and smooth them over her scalp. I would not recommend a thick hair dressing because that is too thick and heavy and can clog her delicate pores.

All that being said, you might want to think about taking her to a dermatologist, just to be on the safe side.
