Here are some of the questions I get asked the most, and what my answers have been. This way you can get your answers immediately, without having to wait on me. And you never know, you might find answers to a few questions you didn't even know you had yet.

*This is still a work in progress. I'm continuing to add many more questions, and we are still ironing out a few quirks. But we wanted to make this available as soon as possible.

There are several ways to choose the question(s) you'd like answered:

Question:
What do you think about highlights?
Answer:
For a while I had some highlights in my hair. Highlighting the hair (because it lightens just the hair that you put the hightlights on), does cause damage. I will be honest about that. But since you are just highlighting a few strands of hair instead of your whole head, the damage is limited to just the highlighted hair. Expect the highlighted hair to possibly be fuzzier and feel drier than the rest of your hair. You may even see split ends or breakage on the highlighted parts of your hair (if this happens, you can trim the highlighted parts of your hair to get rid of the breakage).

I've been growing out my highlights for the past couple years, so they are mostly remaining on the ends of just a few curls now. They seem to keep getting lighter and lighter as time goes on, so I tend to snip them off when they get too light. I'll probably keep doing that until the highlights are gone.
